Alex Sherman, PT

Clinical Director

Alexander Sherman earned his degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo and has been a Licensed New York Physical Therapist since 2000. Mr. Sherman has extensive experience in a variety of settings that include hospital-based and out-patient clinics specializing in: Orthopedics, sports injuries, arthritis management, workplace ergonomics, postural re-education and injuries sustained in motor vehicle accidents. In working with patients of all ages, Mr. Sherman has learned the importance of one-on-one care. Each client receives an individualized treatment plan that best suits his or her diagnosis. He continues his education through courses that teach the latest therapeutic physical therapy techniques. Mr. Sherman is fluent in Russian.

Philip Serras, PT

Physical Therapist

Philip Serras earned his degree at the Hogeschool Van Amsterdam in the Netherlands in 1999. He has been a Physical Therapist since 2000 working in the outpatient and home care settings specializing in sports related injuries, orthopedic and neurological disorders and geriatric care. In 2004, Philip volunteered for the Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, where he treated world class athletes. Through hands-on treatment techniques, Philip has helped patients regain strength, improve balance, decrease pain and improve overall function. Philip is fluent in Greek and also speaks Spanish. Philip is the clinical director of Sycamore Physical Therapy, where he utilizes his extensive experience to provide patients with top-of-the-line care.

Rodney Ramirez, PT

Physical Therapist

Rodney Ramirez earned his degree at Hogeschool Van Groningen in the Netherlands in 2000. Rodney has worked in a wide variety of settings and has extensive experience in home care hospital, and outpatient clinics. He specializes in orthopedic sports injuries, geriatric care, and neurological disorders. Rodney utilizes a manual therapy hands on approach to decrease pain, improve range of motion, increase balance, and strength. He believes strongly in patient education for continued success in strength and good posture for independent daily activities. Rodney spends time with his patients and believes in one-on-one patient care.

Elizabeth Frenna, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Elizabeth graduated with a Masters in Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University in 2008 and later received a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Temple University. She was the lead Physical Therapist for the Community Re-Entry Program at St. Charles Hospital on Long Island before she got married and relocated to Riverdale. Elizabeth has completed extensive course work in Myofascial Release and its applications in pain management, women’s health and orthopedic conditions. Elizabeth is currently continuing her education by taking courses in vestibular rehabilitation and is in the process of becoming a certified Kinesio Taping practitioner. She is enthused to join the Riverdale Sports PT Team and feels passionate about a future treating the Riverdale Community.
